Benecko is the highest situated mountain village in western Giant Mountains. 800 - 900 metres above the sea level provides so many sunny days in the whole year, beautiful view to the countryside, fresh air. It is ideal starting point for the mountain hikes.
On foot, on bike or on cross-country skies you do not have to miss the visit of view tower Žalý 2 kms, Špindlerův Mlýn, Horní Mísečky, Vítkovice. There is 2 horse farm at Janova Hora and Kněžice. You can ride a horse there into the wild nature or only lead your children by guide.
If you like swimming you can visit outdoor swimming pool in Jilemnice 10 kms, Vrchlabí 11 kms, Mříčná 12 kms or in Kruh 14 kms. Aquapark in Špidlerův Mlýn, Jičín, Turnov and Liberec. Indoor swimming pool is in Jilemnice too.
"Do not ride a bike into the hill"
Use "Krkonošské autobusové linky" (Mountain bus lines) that is going through the whole Giant mountains, cabin railways. All of these kind of transport will take you with your bikes on the top of the mountains.
